We'll meet at Island Water Sports, located at 1985 NE 2nd St., Deerfield Beach, FL 33441, where complimentary parking is available during your lesson. We'll pick up your reserved surfboards together before walking to the beach.
Please note: Board rentals are included in your booking. Sampaguita Surf reserves a surfboard on your behalf. All participants must complete the required Island Water Sports rental waiver before their lesson.

A standard lesson lasts 90 minutes. Thirty minutes are allotted to pick
up boards, walk to the beach and land safety lesson; then at least one
hour of time in the water. If conditions are unfavorable we will call you
asap prior to your appointment to reschedule. Upon acceptance of
your appt request we will send you a liability waiver to sign. -
Each lesson reserves dedicated time, equipment, and instructor availability exclusively for you. All bookings are final. Sampaguita Surf does not offer cancellations or refunds.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled lesson, you may reschedule your booking by providing at least forty-eight (48) hours' notice before your scheduled lesson. Rescheduling requests received less than forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled lesson are not eligible for rescheduling, refunds, or booking credits. Exceptions may be made at the sole discretion of Sampaguita Surf.
Participants are expected to arrive on time and ready for their scheduled lesson. Lessons begin promptly with required land-based safety instruction. Participants who arrive more than fifteen (15) minutes after their scheduled lesson start time may be considered a no-show at the sole discretion of Sampaguita Surf. If the lesson can still be conducted safely, it will conclude at the originally scheduled end time. No refunds, rescheduling, or booking credits will be provided for late arrivals or no-shows.

Your safety is our highest priority. Lessons are conducted at the sole discretion of Sampaguita Surf and are subject to weather, surf, tide, ocean, and other environmental conditions. If conditions are deemed unsafe or unsuitable for instruction, participants will be notified as soon as reasonably possible—typically the evening before or the morning of the scheduled lesson. In such cases, your lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually agreeable date and time. If a new date cannot be arranged at that time, a booking credit equal to the value of the original booking will be issued and will remain valid for one (1) year from the original lesson date.

Absolutely! Most of our participants are first-time surfers. We provide beginner-friendly instruction in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment, meeting you where you are and celebrating every milestone along the way.

Basic swimming ability and comfort in the water are recommended for all participants. If you're not a confident swimmer, please inform us in your waiver form, or contact us so we can discuss your experience and determine whether a lesson is appropriate based on your comfort level and the day's ocean conditions.
Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the water throughout the lesson.

Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the water for the entire duration of the lesson. The accompanying adult is expected to remain within close proximity to the child and assist as needed under the instructor's direction.
