Sampaguita Surf is a mission-driven, woman-led surf wellness company serving Greater Fort Lauderdale, FL. Inspired by the Sampaguita flower—a symbol of resilience and hope—we help people reconnect with themselves, one another and Mother Ocean through surfing, wellness and community.

We turn a first surf lesson into a pathway for growth through inclusive beginner lessons for all genders, our signature Waves of Resilience Surf Wellness Journeys for women and teen girls, and community gatherings that keep connection going beyond the lesson.

Informed by Blue Mind research, our experiences blend ocean immersion, mindful movement, yoga and supportive community to ease stress, build confidence and cultivate resilience and belonging. Our trauma-informed approach is also rooted in Kapwa, a core Filipino value centered on shared identity, empathy, care and collective responsibility.

Founder Sherry Meneses brings certified training in surf instruction, water safety, yoga and surf therapy; more than 20 years of experience in creative strategy, experiential marketing, events and community outreach; and the lived experience of learning to surf at age 42. Together, these elements shape a first-of-its-kind approach in Broward County and a surf culture where everyone belongs.
